    Based on what I've read about her and what Klue just posted, I think she did the quilt to keep her sanity...her life sure must have had enough stress... :(

    i think her life sounds sad too. i like to believe she would be very joyful to know how much she is loved today.

    the "Janiacs" had a fund raiser and paid to put a beautiful headstone at her grave site.

    i've been toying with the idea of doing a rubbing of the stone and using it for my quilt backing.

    i live in sleepy hollow - headstone rubbings are commonplace here - its like painting a landscape painting in another town. on any given day you'll find 2-3 people in our cemetery doing rubbings.

    The batik and fossel fern is just beautiful!. I think I would also like to do one in batiks and white or off white as background. I did A-1 in a green batik and really liked it.
    I will take a picture and try to post it.
